Parsons Consulting Engineers Ltd was appointed to assess structural concerns at a commercial property. A site visit confirmed that subsidence was not present and under-pinning was unnecessary. We provided a detailed remedial specification for internal reconstruction, including a new reinforced concrete floor slab, repointing of masonry, and construction of a timber frame inner wall with appropriate damp-proofing and insulation. Guidance was also given for floor screed replacement, roof tie-down strapping, and external repair measures including helifix reinforcement. The inspection also addressed drainage improvements and general site safety, ensuring a comprehensive and practical solution tailored for the builder to implement.
